i-Ready Personalized Instruction and Assessment includes reporting that provides educators a comprehensive look at progress and performance at the student and class level. Reports include pre-requisite and scaffolding reports, diagnostic results reports, growth reports, and instructional grouping reports, among others.
A demo of the teacher platform, including report details, is available upon request.
This dataset includes a national sample of Grade 5 educator data that tracks access to reports available to educators and administrators in the i-Ready platform in the 2024-2025 school year. Researchers will receive a set of two linkable datasets.
- The educator report dataset includes data on educator access to reports. Data includes a de-identified educator ID, a unique, de-identified school ID, grade level, report type, total number of clicks/views per date. Report types include each of the reports available to teachers in the i-Ready platform such as the diagnostic summary report, the pre-requisite report, and the instructional grouping report, among others.
- The school level dataset includes data linkable to the educator report dataset. Data includes a de-identified school ID, date of first diagnostic administered in each test window, state data/end date, school level results on the i-Ready Diagnostic by grade. NCES characteristics, such as demographics and enrollment, are also available by school.
Curriculum Associates is interested in a variety of research questions and will consider questions beyond those provided below. Sample research questions include:
- Can we identify patterns of educator access by report type, time of year, and relationship to administration of the diagnostic? For example, how soon after the first diagnostic do educators access the diagnostic results report?
- Is there a relationship between access to different types of reports and student outcomes?
- Are some reports accessed more frequently at different times of the school year?
To access data dictionaries or to receive a demo account to the iReady platform, please submit a request through the Data Catalog that includes details on your research and data interests. Researchers must sign a terms-of-use agreement to access data dictionaries and demo accounts.
