Assignable (Algebra I)

Assignable (Algebra I)

OpenStax

Assignable is an LTI-compatible tool that allows teachers to create/modify/delete custom assignments in a specific Learning Management System (LMS). Assignable is modular and supports various types of learning activities, including assessments, videos, readings, textbooks, and other interactives. Furthermore, students are able to complete these assignments from their LMS, and instructors can score those assignments and generate grades. The data available for this project will be from partner institutions using Assignable for their Algebra 1 courses. Our digital reading experience (REX) provides digital textbook content, embedded videos, and static practice problems. It generates usage data such as time spent on page, note-taking, and highlighting behavior.Assignable is the complementary teaching and learning platform that integrates directly with major Learning Management Systems (LMSs) like Canvas, Schoology, Blackboard, D2L, and Moodle. Assignable is built to pull content from REX for the foundational readings, while also incorporating interactive assessments and activities (referred to as exercises), and capturing student annotations (highlights and notes). This approach allows Assignable to generate granular learning data, which is tied closely to the district and classroom context, supporting our research goals. Both REX and Assignable are connected to SafeInsights for data access.Assignable playlist

i-Ready Assessment & Instruction Data

i-Ready Assessment & Instruction Data

Curriculum Associates

The i-Ready Assessment is a computer-adaptive assessment that tracks student growth and performance. By adapting based on student response patterns, i-Ready Assessment derives information from a limited number of test items. This allows the assessment to more accurately and efficiently pinpoint students’ needs and helps teachers better understand student challenges. i-Ready Personalized Instruction uses insights from the i-Ready Assessment to create a personalized path of engaging online lessons. Students receive instruction and practice in areas where they need the most support.Information on Curriculum Associates suite of products and resources, including the i-Ready Assessment and Personalized Instruction, please visit: https://www.curriculumassociates.com/A Platform Demo Account for i-Ready Personalized Instruction, i-Ready Diagnostic, and teacher platforms are available upon request. This dataset includes a sample of mathematics data from the i-Ready Personalized Instruction platform and assessment data from the i-Ready Diagnostic that represents over 500,000 students in grades 3-5 from across the United States. Researchers will receive a set of three linkable datasets. The student instruction file includes all lessons attempted by students during the 2024-2025 school year. Student indicators include a unique, de-identified ID, chronological grade, and a de-identified school ID. Instruction data includes lesson detail for each attempted lesson such as lesson grade level, lesson subject, lesson domain, start and end times, score, and teacher assigned lesson flag. The i-Ready diagnostic file includes data on each assessment completed by the student and is linkable to the student instruction file. Student indicators include a unique, de-identified ID, a de-identified school ID, fall, winter, and spring diagnostic scale scores and growth measures, student placement level, test duration, and a rush flag. Domain scores are also available for every assessment. The third dataset is a district and school characteristics file that is linkable to the instruction and diagnostic files. It includes all districts and schools represented in the student dataset. Districts and schools have a de-identified ID along with NCES district and school characteristics. Characteristics provided include student demographics, at the school level and by grade, enrollment totals, and income.
